Mothers
Why is it that when I tell my mother (which is always nagging about my weight) that I've decided to diet she starts trying to sabotage my efforts? Yesterday, she bought us cakes and tried to convince me it was okay as it was fruit - well it did have a fruit topping so she wasn't lying or anything, but it had a cheesecake filling and pastry underneath said fruit! Then, she puts out a bowl of posh chocolates. Needless to say after me refusing and refusing the cake, my mother said I was stubborn. Well yeah, go me! In that case stubborn wins the day
The plus side to this is that my mum appears to be getting some of her "spunk" back after my dad died in April and as with all things mum, I forgive her for her need to stuff me with food!
Got home and did 20 mins on the Wii Fit - all step. Two lots of the Advanced Step then 10 mins of the Free Step on Rhythm 1 fast. Boy that was tough! It's weird cos when I start out it seems so easy but it doesn't take long for me to work up a heat. The thing I love is that it is doable - I've found so many exercises undoable at my level in that I can't do them long enough to start to get warm, but this step is fantastic. Going to stick at the 20 mins for a few days - just to let my muscles get adapted.
Diet is going swimmingly. I've had treats but no cheats.
Today will be a peaceful day - may go cinema later but not sure yet. Hancock looks good though - ooh Will Smith
