Winter

I'm so embarassed over halloween pictures that found their way onto facebook.  I knew I'd gained weight but not that much!!  (Check my album for the worst offender)

:( :(

3 years ago I weighed 165 lbs.

2 years ago I weighed 122 lbs.

Now I weigh 149 lbs, which I have since last new years.

I don't want to be here this time next year.

Pics of me at 122 are gorgeous.  Since I'm a really short girl with a round face to begin with, I don't carry this extra weight well.  But how do I lose 25 lbs+??

Not much to say for today..

A month in of going to the gym "fairly" regularly and eating somewhat better left me with somewhat discouraging results... or so I thought.  I weighed in at 141 lbs, 6 lbs heavier than when I started.  Boo.

However, my endurance has gotten a little better.  I was able to go through 20 minutes on the elliptical today, with only the last minute bordering on excruciating :P  Much better than my original 8 mins to exhaustion.  I want to add 1 minute per workout until I can get up to 45 min.  Wish me luck!!

I'm wearing a neoprene slimming belt as well.  Not only does it make you look a little better at the gym by supporting your tummy, it also makes you sweat a LOT in that area, which is supposed to help you lose water weight and toxins from that area.  I'll let you know if it works.

Also, I took my measurements today.  I have lost a total of 5.3 inches from various parts of my body, most notably my neck (-1.5 inches) and chest (-1 inch).  So even though I've gained weight, it's probably muscle. :)

I've also started taking a weightloss drink called BMI, upping my water intake and eating a lot of fruits and veggies.  No fast food, soda or alcohol until I reach my goal weight, either.

I've noticed a bit more energy.  Also (sorry, this is kinda gross) I have noticed that the fat on my tummy and thighs no longer looks smooth, but a little dimply.  I hope this means its breaking down.  (I have lost 1 inch each from my waist and thighs.)

One more thing healthwise.. I am making sure to wear sandals in the shower at all times and am treating myself to a pedicure.  Why?

I finally got rid of a nasty plantar wart that's been hanging around since high school!  This thing resisted presciption strength acids, freezing, cutting, and all manner of horrible, painful and expensive treatments. How I finally cured it?  Taping a cotton ball  soaked in apple cider vinegar to the bottom of my foot each night at bed time.  Then in the morning, washing my foot with tea tree oil soap and a pumice stone.  It hurt like a bitch but worked within a couple weeks!  It hasn't returned.  Just thought I'd let you all know, in case you're ever suffering from this embarassing problem.  Total cost of this treatment: 2.00 for vinegar 6.00 for tea tree soap = $8.00!  I have a lot of both left over so I am going to be taking a teaspoon of the vinegar each morning, which is supposed to help with weightloss.

I'll see you all tomorrow.  I'm going to start blogging my experience day by day, with weigh-ins every Monday.
