SOOO Happy to be back at starting point - gained, but now lost YAHOO

Ok, so I said I would do this, but life happened again and I lost track of intentions and journey...
 
I am now clear of mind - I know that I want to be healthy and want to eat healthy and feel good.
 
I have started eating better and am walking/jogging in a 10mile "race" in 3 weeks - so I get to train for that! 
 
in the last week and a half - I have dropped 6 pounds - I can do this and I will do this.
 
We booked a cruise for the week of Dec 21st and I will not go on vacation feeling big and out of shape- I just cannot do that...

keep trying

Ok - so I did really well yesterday untl I got home from work, and then I grabbed everything in sight - I was hungry, but should have just waited until I made my salad...   
 
So, for today, I vow to go home and not put anything in my mouth until I sit down to eat...  just for today... 
 
I did wake up and ran on the treadmill for 15 minutes and then elliptical for 15 minutes and will walk at lunch...

S-L-O-W-L-Y

ok...  things have been a little bit chaotic in my life lately...  but I am SLOWLY losing...
 
I do need to make sure I either write down what I eat each day OR... blog...  that seems to make a difference..
 
went for a 3 mile jog this morning and then off to church and run some errands - sun is supposed to be out this afternoon and I would love to just relax...
 
Food:
light and fit yogurt smoothie - 70 cal
salad with bananas, strawberries, walnuts, string cheese, raisins..  low fat dressing - 300 cal

little by little

Looks like one more pound down - cannot complain... 
 
excercise - walked 2 miles on Thursday and went swimming for a while...
 
Food log - did not track - will start again...

staying focused

since I said I would post every day and I am fallling down on that...
 
excercise - I did manage to go for walk/jog Monday night and then Tuesday night I walked 2 miles with stomache cramps...  NOT fun, but at least got moving...

Monday monday....

Today was a much better day than last monday....  work wise and all...
 
Excercise - thinking of taking today as rest day - Walked/jogged 3 miles each on Sat and sunday - should have been more, but I had the dog with me and he kept stopping to smell the roses...
 
Food intake:  TODAY (weekend is over and done - did eat salads camping, but had some chips and more wine than I should have...)
Frosted mini wheats - 150
Salad with walnuts, strawberries, 1/2 banana, ff dressing 300
Cranberries and blueberries - 100 cal
salad with cheese, walnuts, 1 whole banana, strawberries, cranberries and ff dressing - 500 calories
walnuts - 200 cal
Total 1250 calories
 
So not bad - would love to go walking after kids go to bed, but that will be around 9 or 9:30 - ds#1 is at baseball...  and ds#2 wanted to build a tent instead of going for a bike ride...
 
 

2 pounds gone... YEEHAA!!

Not sure how much I can post today - I am at work and then am going camping, but the scale did move in the right direction... 

One day at a time

ok - no excercise today - thought about getting up before work, but ds#2 climbed in bed with me and snuggling with him was the highlight of my day!
 
Food intake:
"some" blueberries - I started eating my rasp and blueberries and found the rasp had mold...  very disgusting...  50 cal
special K bar - 90 cal
salad with walnuts, 1/2 banana, strawberries, ff dressing - 200 cal
Yogurt - 100 cal
cheese - 200 cal
salad - 300 cal
MISC - 400...  cal count seems low.... 
 
Total 1340...  not "too" bad...
 
work is getting a little bit better... going camping this weekend and game plan is to continue eating salads - can grill chicken on the grill and then bring bag-o-salad...
 
 
 
 

Fed up with Corporate america

Can I just say - after 14 years with the same company and all of the political crap, I am truly ready to leave corp america for something different...
 
Vent:  I have worked 50-60 hours average for the last 3 years... (YEP, my OWN fault)  and I don't say no when someone needs help, am the person everyone comes to for advise and direction - AND I AM NOT EVEN CONSIDERED THE SENIOR PERSON!!!!  The person who is "senior" analyst, even comes to me...  and the catch-22 is if I stop going above and beyond, it would be considered a performance issue and since I should be "happy to have a job" I need to just sit down and shut up...  AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH... 
 
ok- vent over...  the crappy week continues....   I was going to work from home tomorrow, but since I left my cell phone on my desk, I now have to go into the office....

Excercise:
Played in the pool with ds...  not planning on jogging tonite...
 
Food:
handful mini wheats (box was almost empty) - 80 cal
Strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries - 100 cal
Salad with chicken 1/2 banana, strawberries, walnuts and ff dressing - 400 cal
Yogurt - 100 calories (mistake the other day was 100 not 70)
Salad with walnuts, banana, strawberries, ff dressing - 300 calories
Walnuts - 200 cal
Cheese - 200 cal
total - 1380 calories...
 
The dressing i am using is WONDERFUL - FF Raspberry Pomegranade love it!!!
so I am having salads for Lunch and dinner and with the banana and strawberries, I feel like I am getting my sweets, without blowing..
 
Will look at the scale on Friday morning and hopefully see something...

I don't think it is going too bad...  my dad is not doing well and my job is a PIA...
 
One of the guys at work was saying that if I excercise, I should be able to eat whatever I want - umm, he also runs 6 miles a day - my walking does NOT burn the calories that he would during his runs AND, I have excercised while gaining he weight...  Not worth explaining, but thought it interesting...
