walking
This is week 5 of walking and I have worked up to 55-56 minutes. WW meeting has moved closer to my house so now I walk there and back which is a round trip of 3 miles and 65-70 minutes. I am enjoying the walking and it seems like my knees work better at work also. I have lost 2 inches off my waist and also off my hips. After being on a plateau all year it looks like I might be able to do something soon.

well.....
I see I am back up to the weight that I started here. I have just been bouncing up and down between 235 and 242. So have cut back on junk food and am trying to exercise most days, but my back pain causes the I don't wanna syndrome.

back from vacation
Took 2 weeks vacation in April and saw a lot of friends who hadn't seen me for awhile and who thought I looked great. Before we left WW scale said that I was down 5.8# but my scale at home never budged so when I got back they said that I had gained 13#. Granted I did have some goodies but not that many. I did not get in all of my water d/t church convention. Saw my sister, who says that the doctor scales said that she gained 30# in 30 days, according to what she says she has congestive heart failure and is younger than I, as is my younger brother and he is being placed in a nursing home soon, as he is on 6L of oxygen and passes out without it. Walked to WW meeting today as they moved closer to where we live. Took me 40 minutes.

exercising more
Monday I went to Curves, Tuesday, I didn't do any exercise, Wednesday I went to Curves, Thursday, I rode my recumbent exercise bike and expended 185 calories and went 8 miles, in 45 minutes at 10-12 mph, and Friday I am going to Curves again.

new resolve
So I am back down 4# yesterday when I weighed in. My total weight loss for this year so far is 3.6#. So I need to do something that will make it work a little harder. So I have decided to make sure that I get to Curves 3 X a week and either walk or ride the exercise bike in between. I walked approximately 2 miles today, I walk about a 20-minute mile and I walked for 40 minutes. So I hope to be able to keep this up and see what it will do for my weight loss.
My daughter Amy will be coming to live with us on March 6. We are looking forward to seeing her. She has had some hard times and hope she will be able to get back on her feet financially, away from Jason the Jerk.

TMI
I didn't feel well yesterday so went to see the doc, he said I had a virus on top of the sinusitis. Went to pharmacy and was hungry so bought a bag of sugar free peppermint patties. Didn't read the ingredients. I think I had 5 and the rest of the evening had the trots and still don't feel that great today. But lesson learned. And when I got on the scale this morning I was down about 4.5 #. Not official and I don't think it will stay there. but I can hope.

yesterday was a bad eating day
Yesterday, when i went out grocery shopping I was too hungry so I stopped at Wendys and got a large chili. Then when we went out after church I had a turkey club sandwich and french fries and when I went to bed I was slightly nauseated. Probably from the Mayo on the sandwich.
So today when I went out I made sure that I ate and bough some cut up fruit when I went to Walmart so that when I got hungry while I was out I had some core food to eat and today went a lot better.
I was on the real age site doing the questionnaire and it looks like I might be getting too much fat so will cut back there and see if that helps the scale move downward some more.

Well, I have been counting points and that hasn't worked too well so I am going back to core. Counting points is too easy to get junk in.

last week of January
Well, I have gained 6# in January, It seems to be fluid retention related but I am not sure. I was taking hydroxyless and that is the only new thing that I was doing so am cutting that out. I was able to exercise 5X last week. Went to Curves Monday and did walk away the pounds dvd this morning. Was contemplating not going to WW meetings but my husband has said that he will help to pay for them to keep me going.

seventy five pound magnet
I went to WW today knowing that there was a loss but not sure how much. I was surprised when the receptionist told me I had lost 10.2#. I was up last 7# due to weighing after working all night. I received my 75# magnet, my actual loss is 77.2#. So I have just over 55# to get to the goal I have set for myself.
