How do I politely say No to temptation?

My daughter has made this amazing dessert that she is bringing over to night - question is do I say No thank you or practice portion control and have a skinny slice?? Any thoughts???

Lost 2.5 pounds!

Got on the scale this morning and I've lost 2.5 pounds since Sunday. I know some of that is water,but that's ok...every ounce helps get me closer to my goal. I ran/waked a 5K this morning...running is feeling better all the time. It's amazing what a big difference little changes make...I feel like I'm on the right track. I'm doing this for me, because I deserve to be healthy and happy about how I feel and look!

Sleepy Start

Never sleep in but did today, so no workout this morning.  I will go home for lunch and use my elliptical for 30 minutes to burn some calories.  I want to stay dedicated to my start on being healthy and fit.  This is FOR LIFE so no excuses...

Morning workout

I am happy I was able to get in a 35 minute walk/run this morning before work.  I keep telling myself how it boost my metabolism for the day.  


My goal is to get back to running and be able to run in a 10K and/or half-marathon.

The workout definitely gives me a great mindset for the day!

On Track

Well here I am starting Day 2 of the rest of my life. That's the way I want to look at it. Like the sound of how permanent it sounds. I will be food journaling each day and some form of exercise 6-7 days each week.

I've lost this same 30 pounds so many times in my life and I want to lose it one last time. Between all things in life, I want to make me a priority.

Feeling good this morning - first cup of coffee and now off to the treadmill.
