Starting Over Take #93?

Okay so I haven't really started over 93 times but it sure does feel that way. I've been gone way too long. Even though I have been trying to blog once a week. My exercise and eating healthy has kind of been non existent.

Things are finally starting to slow down. I will be working 3 days a week instead of 5 days and my critical care class that my job sent me to is now over, which I am happy to say that I passed!  I think I have finally adapted to my online classess. I've made an A & B so far, so good. I will finish sooner than planned because a lot of classess were transfered so I'm looking to finish before the end of next year! I can't wait and then if God is willing I'm going for my masters as well to become a Nurse Practitioner.

Okay now that I have gotten that out of the way. I stepped on the scale this morning and to my surprise I am still at  188    ( I think I'm still holding onto water from TOM) I also lost 6 inches since the last time I checked  and that was about two weeks ago. So even though I havent been exercising and eating like I should for the most part things are still working in my favor.

My initial plan was to start over in the beginning of September since I'm anal like that. Then I thought why wait? The sooner I start the sooner I can get the rest of this weight off! So I started back with exercise today. I started the C25K WK 1 Day 1 today. Oh my God, I'm so out of shape! Those few minutes kicked my butt! I orignailly wanted to run outside but since I got done with my errands till late this afternoon I figured I would dust my treadmill and give it a run. I'm so gald I did although it was torture, it felt good at the same time, because I know deep inside that I will get my body back and this is what it is going to take for me to get there. I did 20 minutes of walking and running with a 5 min warmup and 5 min cool down. I also added back my infamous 200 crunches and 20 pushups. I burned a total of 480 cals with a total of 36 minutes of exercise!   As of now I'm comitting myself to exerccise at least 3-4 days out of the week and as soon as I figure out my new schedule I will add back 1 or 2 days. I'm ony going to do C25K, when I get my schedule situated I will be adding back weight training, because it really helps!

As far as my diet I'm sticking to a low cal diet and eating a big salad for lunch everyday, when I get bored of salads it will be a fruit salad or nothing but vegetables. My breakfast and dinner will be very light. It has been working so far and probably the reason why I have maintained my weight without exercise.

Oh I almost forgot I haven't ran a race in almost 2 months so it is time for me to get back in gear and I'm relying on C25K to help ge tme there. I'm going to go research some races now, hopefully I can find one in October or maybe  September.

Well It's good to be back.I 'm going to go visit blogs, take care

Until next time much love!

Hey

I did C25K wk1 day 1 last night....so we are together again!!!!!  YAY!!!!!

Hey Lady...

Yes ma'am, I finally got a HRM. The price was right and so I decided to go ahead and make the investment in me! You have so much on your plate right now, kudos for maintaining a steady weight. That just means that you're body is well in the habit.

I have a friend who's a Nurse Practitioner and she loves it! Goodluck towards that end.

ps. So far I love my Polar HRM. I learned last week that I burn more calories in step aerobics than I do in spin class? I find that surprising, but at least now I know.

be and do well....

Welcome Back

Hey, as long as you come back more times than you quit, it is all good.  Before you know it, you will be back on track.  Good job on increasing the veggies, you can never get enough good fiber.  I am glad that you are back.

Hey, chica!

How's it going!  Busy as ever, I see, but not so much! I'm glad that things are slowing down at least a little bit.

Kudos on the weight maintenance!  With starting C25K again, you'll be running another 5K in no time.  Then after that, maybe we can be half-marathon training cyber-buddies!  I need to get on the ball if I'm going to Disney in March!
