Milestone 1: 10 pounds!
I did it! 10 pounds since Easter!
In the process (last week) I suffered a kidney stone and couldn't exercise, but I'm recovering and should be back on track pretty soon. It's the second time I've had such pain since December. Next week is a big week, the big 2-5, so hopefully I'll feel some progress and start to see a bigger change in my body.
The woman who scheduled my CT scan at the doctor's office today told me I didn't look anything over 125 pounds, so I was pretty happy with that compliment. I can't let it let me lose my focus though.

Starting Over
I'm starting this journey all over again. Over the past year I've gotten off phentermine, gone on everything from GNC imaginable, and gained even more weight. It's a miserable start, but I'm confident in my efforts again. I have a best friend going through the same struggles, so hopefully our support for each other will help. This time around though, I will definitely be exercising more with this pill. I need to. I only owe it to myself.

10%
So, I finally did it! I lost 10% of my weight since the start of my diet. It took a while, about 5 months exactly, but I did it. :)

Beer, Beer, BEER! Thoughts on expensive beer in a can...
So, I went back to my Alma Mater this weekend for a much needed vacation and spared no expence in partying it up! Fries and a beer on Friday, one piece of french toast and a bite of eggs and glass of milk for brunch on Saturday, as well as Baked Ziti, salad, and bread for dinner on Saturday, and BEER! Apparantly, out in the boonies of collegeland, Bud Light Lime comes in a can!
Anyway, I had about 4 beers and 3 shots. The point is, I hardly ever drink anymore and was pretty much drunk for most of the night. Its not like me to drink. Granted light beer is less calories and is supposed to be less filling, but I still feel very large from it. I don't obsess [as much as others I suppose], and I don't exercise regularly either, so I guess I have it coming. I was though, more active than I am when I'm sitting at home. Maybe thats why the scale was nice when I got home?
In any event, I think my eating habits change depending on where I am. I think that I was more hungry when I was breathing the fresh mountain air rather than breathing the stinky city air. When I got home I got right to cleaning and back to my old routine of not wanting to cook, eat anything substantial or healthy (even though I bought a sandwich at a rest stop), and went right to getting flustered about Monday Morning. I guess thats why they call it a vacation??

Stress
Does stress make you not eat? It seems that when I am stress out and when I have other factors in my life making me upset, besides wanting to look like a supermodel or fitting into a bathing suit without some random stranger asking me when my [gut] baby is due, that I am just so turned off to food. I suppose that some foods I am not as interested in anymore, such as dairy (ice cream, milk, etc), but I am basically eating [healthy] snack food for meals and know I'm not consuming enough healthy calories to say I'm losing weight in a healthy way.
Yes, we all have jobs and aspects of our lives that are stressful, there is no doubt about that. I am more than happy with how phentermine has helped me feel in terms of self esteem with my clothes fittinig lately and how my body looks. However, I need my health to change and without health, we all have nothing. Am I lazy? Yes. Do I deserve to be on this medicine? Probably not, but I am because its what a doctor gave me as a treatment plan/ option. What works for us will work for us. :)
Anyway, if anyone stumbles upon this, could you please comment with some healthy eating advice for dinner meals that keep you full and satisfied, but don't make you feel like you've eaten a lot? I feel like I'm getting a complex if I feel like I eat too much now. :o/
