Woke up fed my cat, felt like crap so I decided to go back to bed till 10:30 am. I had the last of my pasta for breakfast/lunch and it seemed to help throughout the day, still felt a bit sick and I still had/have a migraine but there appeared to be improvement from the last few days. Guess I'll just have to see how I feel when I wake up tomorrow to decide if I should be going to the walk-in clinic. Anyway, it's late (11:10 pm) and I need to be getting up at 5 am or my cat will start causing trouble to make me get up. So...

So, my dinner calories are quite large because my Husband brought home pasta for me. It's the only thing that generally makes me feel better when I'm sick but unfortunately it's had no affect so far. Might have to go to the clinic tomorrow and I really don't want to. Anyway...

I was working out the Insanity schedule for the days I have left in my challenge from the original schedule that comes with the program (that I found on the Beachbody Forums). Yikes! Is about all I can say. 40 to 90 minutes a workout. Now, obviously I won't know for sure that this is how long all the workouts are until I get my hands on the discs but so far I'm scared... I've decided to try it with the intended schedule, 6 days a week workouts (I usually do 5 days) and see how I fair. I'm going to be starting Monday July 5th, the last heavy day of my period so it doesn't interfere too much and I'll finish (2/)3 days after my challenge is technically suppose to finish (Friday September 3rd) on Sunday September 5th, with weight and measurement results being taken on the Monday (my usual weigh-in day) September 6th; first day of our vacation.

Still no news on his latest test results, so I'm going to make a point of stopping by the vet tomorrow to see if they are in yet, since we were supposed to get them Wednesday or today.

It's late, I am exhausted and I still have a migraine and feel sick, so I hope no one minds my ending this post here. I have to be up at 5 am too, ugh.

It's a holiday here in Quebec today, my Husband is home, so we spent the day sleeping, relaxing and talking. Trying to reconnect a little I suppose. Didn't feel like going out because it was raining heavily on and off all day (more on than off in our neighbourhood) and I still feel extremely sick. If I still feel this way tomorrow, I may have to make a visit to the walk-in clinic on the weekend because something is definitely not right.

Anyway, sorry for not posting yesterday and for cutting this short tonight. I do have somethings to say about the Insanity workout and nutrition guide, I hope no one minds if I post my thoughts on that tomorrow instead; but I really want to get to bed and lay down.

Day 52 of 125 - Earthquake...

*I wrote this this morning and then never got around to finishing or posting it...

We had an earthquake yesterday (Wednesday, 23rd) and I thought it was from the big construction trucks (you know, those massive digger trucks that are as wide as the street) working down the street! lol. Looked out my window and saw nothing, no one, nada. It was really weird. For the life of me, I didn't think for a second that it could have been an earthquake till I saw the news. Shook the house pretty good, the desk and computer screen were rattling really good, scared the cat and made me worry about what kind of condition our windows appear to be in because they were not happy with the shaking. It was loud too, which is what made me automatically think it was the construction truck. Lasted a good 30 seconds at least here, I didn't time it obviously, so best guess, felt long though.

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

No exercise today, too sick. I don't know what it was but I woke up feeling as if I had food poisoning. I slept a good chunk of the day but that doesn't seem to have helped. I plan on going right to bed after I post this; would have done so earlier but I had too many bathroom trips to make.

To end on a positive note, I might be doing the Insanity workout for the rest of my challenge. (Such as my challenge is. Ugh) I've been talking to someone who has an interest in Chalean Extreme and if it's possible, the last weekend of this month, we'll try to do a trade of our DVD's and see how we each fair with the others workout until mid September when we trade back. I worry about Insanity though, as much as I've been dying to try it, my wrists are in horrible condition and have been since I broke both of them twice. Neither healed properly after the second breaks, I can't do proper push ups, heck I can barely do them on my knees, my wrists just can't support the weight and the Insanity workout looks like it has plenty of moves that would require strength from my wrists. Guess I'll find out. Half extremely excited, half nervous.

More tests done at the vet this afternoon for my cat, should be getting the results back in a couple of days. Fingers crossed all comes back well. As far as the rest of the day was concerned, especially the last hour, it's all been crap. I don't want to write another complaining post so...

My Husband and I decided to try something new from a pastry shop for lunch and have a picnic down by the water, well unfortunaltely it really didn't sit well with me and I ended up eating so much bread and drinking so much milk to try and calm my stomach. I felt like crap for the rest of the afternoon while we ran around doing our errands. I still feel sick. I ended up having bran flake cereal for dinner but that doesn't seem to be helping either. I guess I can expect my weigh in to show an increase tomorrow.

So, I'm sorry for the short and complainy post. I am off to bed now; I really, really, REALLY want to sleep this off.

I spent the majority of the day talking on the phone with my Grandmother. She lives in Alberta, so sometimes we have a hard time getting our time differences to sync up nicely so that no one is caught at lunch or dinner time. To give an idea of just how long we were on the phone. I had just, quite literally, finished eating lunch and by the time I got off the phone with her I had to start preparing dinner because my Husband was going to call in 10 minutes to say he was on his way home for the day. So, over about 4 hours maybe. I never looked at the clock but I have a rough idea of when I finished lunch. Thank goodness for great long distance phone plans!

Anyway, my cousin had her first baby on Wednesday, a little girl (Which I predicted. Apparently I have a knack for calling a babies gender, just can't seem to get that clairvoyance to transfer over to loto tickets yet.) with a little bit of orange peach fuzz hair. She's very cute I'm told. She weighed in at just over 8 pounds and 21 inches long. I don't know if it's because I've never had kids but does that seem like a big baby? Certainly gave me chills at the thought of someone having to pass something that size through their body. I don't know how you ladies do it, all I can say is, wow.

Downside to living so far away from everyone, last to know everything and you don't get to be a part of gatherings and so on. I would have loved to be there when my Grandmother holds my cousins baby. That's 4 generations together. It's just sort of aw-strucks you. Not many families get to experience this. And I'm missing it! *smacks palm to head.

I miss my Granny and Great Aunt.
