Weigh in tomorrow morning, fingers crossed it goes well.

Spent part of the day looking at cars online and visiting a handful of dealers again, still no luck. :( Spent the rest of the day just wandering around the mall, having lunch and checking out movie deals because it was raining out, then did the groceries and went home. Started rewatching West Wing again from the beginning. I think this will make it my 4th reviewing of the entire series. Love it, love it, love it. :) Not too exciting of a day, eh?

Sorry for the short post, still have lots to do before bed and it's already 10 pm.

Total strike out on the car front today. :( Looked like we had a real possibility with a 2004 Sunfire for $2700 (Negotiable too!) and everything was great, ran and handled perfectly, super clean, except the underneathe of the car was far too rusted for only a 2004. My Husbands brother said we'd likely get three years out of it before having to buy a new one. Kind of off putting since we don't want to have to buy anything new no sooner than 5 years, preferably longer. So there went that one. :( Starting to look like our vacation is going to turn into 'car shopping week' since we don't have time on the weekends these next upcoming few and it's hard to schedule things after work.

Exercises went well though today, so that's on the plus side. :)

Stayed up far too late saving car adds. It's car shopping day tomorrow, have a nice sized list of used cars within our price range, hopefully we can find a really good deal and save even more on that too. lol! We need a new car desperately because ours is really on it's last leg. But there's just so many other costs right now and debt on the visa (because of vet billings piling up, haven't had a chance to catch up in payments yet and there's more to come) which is really making things tight. We've had to take a loan for this. So fingers crossed we find something in the 2003-2004 year range and in the $2500 range. Asking a lot, I know but it's what we're hoping for. (Looking for a Chevy Cavalier or Pontiac Sunfire, so we can reuse our summer and winter tires without having to shell out an extra $1000.)

Anyway, my apologies for the boring and kind of depressing post. Go (re)read yesterdays post if you want something upbeat. :)

I finally remembered what I wanted to say! Yoiks that took far too long to remember. Anyway, I wanted to mention that I do still plan on posting my meal plan, along with pictures and possible recipes. I was going to do that 2 weeks ago but what with my great aunt's passing, taking a few days to come to grips with the reality of it and then having to prepare for all posibilities this now means concerning taking care of my grandmother, I haven't had a chance or want quite honestly, to get to it. But I promise to post all of it before my vacation in early September. I want to take a picture of almost every meal, so you guys can have an idea as to what my proportions look like on top of what I eat. So it will take some time to do it.

Spent the evening copying and saving obituary comments and well wishes for my grandmother to print out and send to her because she does not have, nor want, the internet. She made sure to get something in both the newspaper in her province and here, since she and my great aunt had lived here practically all their lives. It was nice to see and read the comments many had left for her and our family. And surprising to see just from whom. People were popping out of the wood work, some who she hadn't even heard from in decades. It was amazing and very much appreciated.

I don't know if anyone will find this interesting but I thought it was so cool when my grandmother told me that I feel like sharing. My grandmother was going through my great aunt's belongings to decide what stays, what should be donated and what should be thrown away. Well she came across an envelope filled with birth and death certificates of all our relatives dating all the way back to 1790. 1790! Holy heck, I think that's so awesome. We didn't even know she had these. My grandmother was getting a kick out of how all of the papers looked and how they've changed over the centuries. They're supposedly in really good condition too. I really hope to get a look at them at some point. That's just too cool in my opinion.

Anyway, on a health/ exercise/ diet related note, since that's what this blog is primarily supposed to be about... I still have absolutely no rhythm. lol. I'm starting to catch onto some of the routines but I still really suck. I can't seem to do the movements and shake my 'booty', lol, at the same time. Hopefully I'll get better as time goes by but man, I have no groove right now. lol.

I honestly had a different meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it was just an accident that they all came out to the same amount of calories. I had a whole wheat english muffin with light strawberry cream cheese, a banana and 1 cup of skim milk for breakfast. For lunch I had a whole wheat wrap with 3 slices ham, spinach and tomatoes, 1 cup of skim milk and a grapefruit. For dinner I had a 'chicken burger' or our version of one; it's two slices of whole wheat bread, ketchup and a sliced half chicken breast with 1 cup of skim milk. Can you tell I like skim milk? lol.

Anyway, I still can't think of what I wanted to mention yesterday. Hopefully it will come back to me soon but in the mean time, it's 10:40 pm and I still need to prep my Husbands lunch before I can go to bed. So...

I've just screwed myself over by staying up so late. Still have to get Husbands lunch ready for tomorrow and do the cat boxes before I can go to bed. Ugh, I really need to figure out a nightly routine. This going to bed at 11pm to midnight and getting up at 5 am or ealier if my cat is pushy enough, every morning is really taking a toll on me. I can't even think of what to write about on here before tunring the computer off for the evening, I'm just completely brain dead and I know I had things I wanted to mention too.

Monday, August 16th, 2010

So weigh in didn't go as I had hoped. I was only a pound away from making 60 pounds lost but alas it wasn't meant to happen this week.

I have a pretty good idea what the cause may be for my half pound gain this week. During the week I had been so distracted and going to bed so late that I forgot to take my birth control pills 3 nights running, so from Thursday till today I've had most of the usual unpleasant symptoms from my period and none of the benefits. During a full blown period I expect to lose weight because my body is working so hard, that's how it's always been. But instead because I had not missed enough pills to trigger a full period, I got the bloating, cravings, back pain, cramps and some slight spotting. Not so fun.

Anyway, it's really late again. I had planned on going to bed with my Husband at 9 pm and actually did technically, we layed on the bed talking about what our options were for getting a new car since ours is currently reaching the end of it's life and at some point I drifted off. I woke up about an hour ago and have been getting things ready for my Husband's breakfast and lunch for the morning ever since. Now it's time for bed. Nice cozy, warm, softish bed and possibly some snuggles with the hubster if he wakes up when I crawl into bed.

Oh before I forget, the reason why my calories burned was so low for the exercise is because it was a weight routine. The pace was slower and I was only using 3 pound weights. I may consider switching to 5 pounds next time I do this routine, we'll see.

Another long exhausting day. Slept horribly and for maybe 5 hours total, if I'm lucky. Went to Ikea for breakfast because we had to go to my Husband's work and Ikea is just across the street. Can definitely tell the Brazil Butt Lift workouts are having some effect since the sides of my butt hurt walking up the stairs at Ikea and all 5 flights and Hubby's work place today. Here's hoping for some great results come the end of the first week of September.

On a quick side note, I ordered the, excuse me while I giggle as I type this, I ordered the 'booty band' from beachbody today for $6.95. It's the band they use in the workouts, I was so happy to see that they sold it seperately since I have never been able to find a solid band. All of my bands have to be tied together, it gets annoying when you have to keep readjusting the length.

Anyway, it's going 11:20 pm and I am wiped, so...
