The joys of walking
One of the things I enjoy doing is walking. I like it because it fits me and my personality. I'm a very solitary kind of person. I like doing things on my own because I'm not stuck to anyone else's schedule or anything like that. I also like it because I can push when I want to push and slow my roll when I want to.
Right now I choose to walk on the treadmill sitting in my bedroom. Yes, it's in my bedroom. Having it there reminds me to get some sort of exercise in every day (or just about every day. Now treadmill walking can be boring. But, with the pollen being exceptionally high outside (I have hay fever problems) it's a good alternative. I just set up my Android program, CardioTrainer, play some music and start walking. Here are my stats for today:
- 2.66 miles
- 4.0 MPH average speed
- 289 calories burned (estimate)
- 7668 steps
- 40 minutes
I don't have any stats for yesterday because I didn't get in any exercise. Yesterday I had to listen to my body and rest. Sometimes I have to take a step back and relax a day. But, I know when I do that the next time I'll be fully charged and ready for some exercise.
Well, I'm off to get some errands done. Until next time...

Inspiring:)
Hi!
You inspire me! I am starting over again on exercising and I'm going to exercise at least three times a week. I want to make it a habit. I think you were wise to take a break when you needed rest. I've read "The Happiness Project" by Gretchen Rubin and she says she will let herself skip one day but not two. I know that when I was exercising consistently, skipping two days sent me down a bad road. Good for you! You're doing awesome!
