Slacking...

So I've totally been slacking at the whole weightloss deal.  Ever since my scale went crazy on me and I STILL have not replaced it, I just kinda allowed myself to fall off.  I'm ready to get back on and I'm going to do that with a new and more strict plan. (I think I need that)  I was getting bored with this site, bored with everything really, but I'm back! 
 
So, the new plan I'm going to be starting is one a girl at work is using.  It's Joy's Life Diet.  It's a book, and it lays out what you can eat and goes week by week with menus and recipes.  When I was first reading... I thought, this is going to be hard as hell and no way can I do that.  But I read more and I'm gonna give it a run!  It can't be THAT bad!
 
I've been absolutely HORRIBLE with exercise!  Morning comes and I think... Ohhhh I'm too sleepy.  So of course I never do anything.  Now mind you, I don't work until noon and not even every day... on a 2 on 2 off type schedule.  On days that I work I don't get off til midnite, then I'm up at 430am with boyfriend, and again at 7am to get daughter to school, so I kinda feel exhausted with the interupted sleep but I've GOT TO GET MY BUTT IN GEAR!!!!!  I told myself when it warmed up I was going to start walking and it's warming up now, so whats my excuse??? NONE! LOL  I'd kind of like to be out there running, but where the hell does a big fat person start with that kind of exercise? LOL
 
So, some things to get... sports bra (a must have!), some comfy clothes for walking/exercising, scale, food scale, new measuring cups/spoons, my grocery list to get started on the new plan.  Unfortunately, money's tight so some of these things are stuck waiting, but I still need to get moving!
 
I have a new goal also....  Mini Goal that is.... 40 lbs by July21!  I just bought tickets to the Rock and Rebels Concert... Kid Rock and Lynyrd Skynyrd.  Boyfriend and I will be going to St Louis, MO (7 hr drive) for the concert, and a mini vacation!  I'm soooo excited and wanna drop some pounds by then!  That's 16 weeks, if I have all my stuff and start this new program on March 30th.  Not sure if that's a reasonable amount, but I'm sure gonna try!

WI posted

Alrighty, well I decided to go ahead and post my WI.  267 was the highest number that stupid scale gave me Monday, and the most believable one!  If that's really true that puts me at my first 10lb loss woohoo!    Not gonna get toooo excited til I get a new scale though! LOL


Now if I could just get myself motivated for some dam exercise.  I'm doing horrible with that!

BETRAYED

So today is weigh in day and that's fine.  Suspicions have proven to be true this morning... the scale has been betraying me!!!!!!!  How dare it! LOL  I got on it 3-4 times in a row this morning and got a different number every damn time!  All those numbers I'd have been ok with because they were all a loss from my last WI, but WTH?  I guess I'm going to have to buy a new one.  Anyone have any suggestions for a true one?????


WI will be temporarily on hold until a new scale arrives to replace the betrayer!

I LOVE to lose!

Well, this morning was weigh-in.  That scale of mine read a lovely 4 lb loss!!!!!  Lately, I'm finding myself wondering if that scale is really true, or if it's lying to me! LOL  Crazy I know, right?  It's the same scale I've been using since I started, so I suppose even if the numbers aren't accurate it's got to be accurate in the sense of the loss! 

I have not got the exercise DVD out since the first time... but tomorrow morning!  I must do it again.  I might even check out one of the other of the set of four. 

How exciting to continue to see a loss on that scale.  I'm quite sure that won't always happen, but as for now... and just starting, it's a GREAT motivator!

I did it!!!!

 

Well, I finally got that new workout DVD into the DVD player this morning and played it and exercised with it!!!!!!  It was just a 30min workout, and what seemed like they should be easy workouts but boy it was workin' me alright!  Amazing!  30 minutes was good lol.   This was the Lotte Berk Method DVDs that I ordered.  There's 4 in the set, and this was the first time I've used it.  The first one was kind of a beginner one.  Get ya into the workout.  They say to use it every other day for a week and you'll feel the difference, and in 2 weeks you'll see the difference.  It was pretty slow paced, but workin those muscles.  Perfect for just beginning I think!  I'm not going to workout on the weekends so I will probably do that one again tomorrow before the weekend.
 
YAY!!!! The "next" step to losing the pounds has been accomplished.  Next step: KEEP working out!

No loss, no gain

So, I'm not real sure what to think.  My crazzzzy scale either lies or it's just crazy who knows! LOL  At weigh in Monday, I was still the same, no loss no gain.  I can live with that, especially since I had kind of an off week.  I've weighed myself a couple times since then tho and it always seems as if I get a different number.  Now, that different number keeps going down, which is awesome, but I'm having a hard time beleiving it!!  Oh well, that's what I want so I shouldn't complain!!!!!!!!! LOL

I finally got my workout videos in the mail.  Haven't used 'em just yet, but they're here and waiting to be played!  Absolutely CANNOT ignore the poor little things! hehe! 

 

It's been a few days

 

Well, it's been a few days since I've blogged.  It's my weekend to work, so today is most people's Friday and it's my Monday! BLAH!  But Happy weekend to you all!!!!  
 
This week has been a little rocky.  Why?  Lack of will power I think!  Monday I think I ate everything in sight while I was at work.  The only good thing to that is I have changed the foods I have to eat at work, so it was all half way good things.  Now even if good things, I don't think it helps to eat emotionally!  The rest of the week hasn't been real great either, will be interesting to see what the scale says on WI Monday morning.   With exception of Monday, I do think that my eating habits are better.  I'm REALLY REALLY trying to just eat when hungry and not all day long (while working, that's when I have the most problems)
 
Just a little while before I signed onto EP, I ordered my exercise DVDs.  The Lotte Berk Method.  Not gonna have any excuses once those get here!

What an awesome motivator!

 

So I have decided that I was officially starting my weightloss journey today.  Monday is my WI day and I just stepped on that scale and it reads 5 lbs less than it did the last time! WOOOHOOO!  Now realize, I have no clue the exact date of my original weigh in, but hell I'm happy with a 5 lb loss anyway.  This was success from just starting to change my eating habits, not even a full change!
 
Well it's 5am here, crazy right?  Was just up with my hunny gettin him off to work and now it's my time to go back to bed before I have to get my daughter up and off to school, but I'm here blogging away! 
 
So, I didn't accomplish everything I needed to this weekend.  Obviously, I got the battery for the scale.  I did not, however, get my workout videos ordered. Grrr they are still to come, just didn't have the money for it this weekend! LOL  I spose my bills and crap gotta come first.
 
I got a text from my brother last night, that I didn't see til this morning.  My little niece, 7 months old, has pneumonia and is in the hospital!   Poor Baby!  I can't even visit because my brother got crazy last year and moved to Washington state! LOL
 
Well, I think that's it for this morning.  Might just crawl back in bed for a couple hours.

The weekend before the REAL change

 

Hello Hello!  I don't really have much to blog about today, but figured I'd do it anyway.  It will be my last day on here most likely til Monday.  I have the weekend off, woohoo! 
 
I need to make a checklist for this weekend.  Need to do some shopping, need to order workout video, need battery for scale, etc etc!  Monday starts the new life for me.  I've been workin on changing my eating habits, but Monday will be the true start!  Then once I get that video, it's on!!!!!!!!  I think my WI day will be Monday mornings.  Seems like a good time anyway.

Gettin' Ready

 

Okay, so after indulging myself in a mini pizza and breadsticks from Pizza Hut today for that one last time, I realized it really didn't taste that great anyhow!  Of course after I ate it, I looked online at the calories... wow!  Way too much, need to stay away from that stuff.  But on another note, I also stopped at the grocery store to pickup a few things for work.  I got stuf for a salad.  I even was checking labels today, and my new dressing of choice has been Light Zesty Italian, which I realized today has about a third of the calories/fat of the others.  Yay me for making that choice even before the "dieting"!  I also picked up some fruit and some of the cheesy rice cakes for snacking at work.  Next step will be to get good stuff stocked when I go shopping for home!  I have resisted the urge to buy chocolate chip cookie dough, my favorite, twice now! YAY!!!!
 
Goals...
 
So my goal states I want to reach a weight of 175.  That could actually be a little less, but I just thought that was a good number.  I'm not built to be tiny, so I really don't know what kind of weight I can get to.  I am setting some mini goals also. 
 
First mini goal is, 10 mini goals of 10lbs.  I have seen others do that and it seems to be a great idea. 
 
2nd mini goal is for the challenge I joined here.  It's from February 1st to March 17th.  I'm not real sure what kind of weight goal to set for that but I'm going to go with 15lbs.  I guess this will help me figure out how much you can lose.
 
3rd mini goal is for my boyfriend's 40th birthday party May 15th.  I will set the actual goal after I see how weight loss is going for the challenge.  Tentatively I'd like to say 25lbs!  That's a big goal, but I'm going to work on it!  It's also 1/4 of 100lbs!  woohoo I'm excited!
 
Well so far I've met a couple buddies on here.  I'm enjoying the site.  Like I said before I'll probably do most of my posting while at work so if you don't see me around for a couple days that's why.  I work a 2 on 2 off type schedule.  I haven't got into food blogging yet or diet, but will work on that with the upcoming challenge.  I tried to find a battery for my scale this morning with no luck.  Will have to check Walmart this weekend, they have EVERYTHING!  Evil store!
