new tactic

Hi everyone..

This week I am trying a new tactic to see if I can get another lb or two off a little easier.    In our weight loss forum I belong to on the 6wk BMO ...one of the ladies suggested we eat at least one meal a day of fish.   "A" s  seem to lose faster when eating fish ...I am an A.     So ...I had shrimp for lunch with broccoli and cauliflower.     We will see at the end of this week if it helped move things faster.

In the middle of sewing  the triplets birthday ruffled skirts right now ...so not staying on long .   Just wanted to stop in and say hi...and have a great OP day everyone 1!

I'm back ..

Hi everyone ...  I have been missing in action for a long time ..I know.   The Christmas season overwhelmed me with a million things to get done ..

..January also  ..as we started with renovation on our house...new roof ..new siding and termite damage repair which turned out to be MAJOR.  

Feb.  we took our grandsons to Disney ...and then had 5 birthdays to take care of for that month!!    So finally now I have a 'few'  moments ...though not many as I am expecting two of mysisters and their families to visit the 1st week of April .  

I gave up on that mini 6 day thing ..NO WAY could I eat fish 5 tiimes a day !!   I went to Disney ..gained 12 lbs.   came back from Disney and from the Sunday we came back to that Sat.  I LOST the 12 lbs.   so was back where I was to begin with .  Now I have struggled to get another lbs off ..I think the major reason for this is I have not had time for walking OR for serious exercise at Curves.  I go once in a while ...that is NOT enough.   So my goal now is to resume regular exercise and along with staying on plan hope that will work. 

Amy...I sent you at LEAST 3 emails and I am worried that maybe you aren't getting them ...as you sent me one wondering where I was... I LOVE your little cutie...Zane.     I told you also I had a new baby here also ...a little sweet AKC Cocker who is 5 years old and the elderly lady who owned her had to give up her house and couldn't keep her.   My Beau ..( also and AKC Cocker )  is 16..I wasn't sure how he would react to someone as lively as she is ..but he is doing ok with it.   I LOVE her . 

I hope you all haven't given up on me !   Please continue to be the encouragement you have been so far in my life on this diet...I have missed you all!

This week

Well...I decided to start the 6 day mini makeover yesterday ...instead of fooling around with my regular diet for another week.  We are going to be leaving for Disney on Feb. 3rd with our grandsons ...and I want to be at LEAST 5 ( more preferably    lbs down by then ...so I decided to try the 6 day mini makeover included in my plan.   It is VERY restrictive ... I eat turkey and fruit for breakfast ...and then basically fish and greens for the other 5 meals!!     No smoothies ...nothing except my fish and greens and a potato at lunch and supper.   If THIS doesn't take some weight off ...SOMETHING is WRONG with me.    I also did 45 minutes on my tread mill this morning .     Walking / exercising is VERY important and I have also been neglecting that .   so hopefully THIS WEEK we will see a difference!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year !

good morning everyone...   having trouble getting on here posting because I have been so BUSY lately ....
 
They have replaced 18 joists and main beams in my house now so far ...had it jacked up and it has been a real busy place here !   Then they started putting on the siding on the side of the driveway and found out the warehouse had CUT IT WRONG...so they had to reorder .   The warehouse brought out 4 packages of it for him to start with ...but HOW aggravating!
 
Well....I started out on  B  diet on either Thursday or Friday ( losing tracks of days here !)    and didn't like it at all ...not to mention I MISS my oatmeal in the morning BIG TIME.    I decided to go BACK ...check out my original fast track A...and my black book ...and lo and behold ...I had settled into my 'routine '  so comfortably I never realized that I had 'incorporated'  my pumpkin custard into a morning snack also when it SHOULD NOT have been ...as it is carbs.  Then I thought of a few other things I had been doing thinking they shouldn't be too harmful ...( like putting a bit of Cool Whip LITE  on my pumpkin custard ....putting that delicious ameretto flavored coffemate into my coffee ...and little things like that )   and maybe THEY have something to do with my stalemate also.  Not getting in my walking ...and missing a whole week and a half of Curves....etc.   ALL of those things might have had alot to do with it ..so ..I am BACK on A...and going strictly by my Fast track.  Let's see if that helps.    If it doesn't ...and I am doing EVERYTHING by the book ...I may try the 6 day mini makeover ....and if THAT doesn't help get things moving again ...THEN I will contact BMOS Dorothy and see if SHE thinks I should move to a B.

Still working

Hi everyone..

Well I didn't make my deadline of 60lbs off by today ...but that is ok .  I know I did EVERYTHING that I could to reach it ...and I will settle for the 59 lbs and be glad that I lost 2 lbs last week.   Maybe I can do the same this week ...it looks like 5 lbs off by Christmas is going to be a hard one.  But I am going for it !

I have 1 more vest to finish and I am done with sewing projects for Christmas!   I will be glad to get it done.

I really want to work hard at losing more weight before Christmas as we all know what the holidays hold in store...lots of GOODIES.   I intend to have a few treats...but I have worked too hard to get where I am at and I don't intend to go crazy eating off plan if I can help it. 

We will be taking my daughter's 2 sons to Disney ...leaving on Feb. 3rd and coming back on the 11th .  I want to be down at LEAST 10 to 15 more lbs by then .   That is why working toward this Christmas deadline is so important.

I am so excited ...I found I was down ANOTHER whole pound this morning !!   It MUST be that I am walking steadily again ...and going to Curves steadily ...and it might be the addition of the walking poles also !!    I am sure that has something to do with it .     So I only have 1 more lb to go to make my mini goal of 60 lbs off by Monday ...maybe tomorrow????   IF SO ....THAT would be GREAT ...it will give me a head start on the  65 I want off by Christmas time! 

I hope you all have a great OP day ....WE CAN DO IT!!!!   As Amy said to me in a note yesterday ....LETS KICK BUT THIS WEEK!!!!    OUR BUTTS!!!   ( I added)

On the move!

Well I am down one more lb today !!     I MIGHT just MAKE my 60lb mini goal by Monday !   I hope so !

This has been a really busy week..but I got my walking in on Monday and Wed  and plan to go after I finish this blog.  I had to take the car for an oil change this morning which goofed up my 'schedule'  of walking !     And I have done Curves twice also ...one more time tomorrow ....

Still here!

Hi everyone,

I don't want anyone to think I have deserted the cause here...I have just been VERY busy with lots of things going on.  I am still maintaining my current weight loss...in spite of a few treats at Thanksgiving ...and eating out this past weekend while in Greensboro with my oldest son.   SOO>>>>>  I am getting fed up with MAINTAINING and it is TIME to get MOVING again!

I have set two goals for myself.....the first one is for this coming week.  By next Monday...I want to be at a 60lb minimum  loss.   And by Christmas I have challenged my sister to choose HER amount of weight she wants to lose and MINE is  I want to have lost 65 lbs by Christmas.  So that means ...getting back out there every day walking with my walking poles....going to Curves a minimum of 3 days a week ..( I have not walked in over a week ...and have not gone to Curves for 3 weeks ...due to constant circumstances going on here ).    And drinking all my water every day as I stay strictly ON PLAN.    My goal is set .  Now I need to make it work .  It WILL ...if I do what I am supposed to do . 

If any of you have been slacking in determinedness...why not set a mini goal for yourself for this week ...and get to work on it?   I cahllenge you        YOU can do it ...so can I !

It Moved!

Hi everyone..

I have been SO busy sewing ...but I now have 3 dresses done and 1 vest done ...most of my Christmas decorations out ...and just a few major ones to go .

FINALLY  the scale MOVED again ...and I am down 1 more lb.   It is so long in between  ...  I started out walking everyday with my new walking poles ..but then really bad weather was here all day Thursday ...Friday I had a pile of things to do and my daughter wasn't able to walk as she was sick ...so I decided to concentrate on getting done what I needed to. 

Today I am awaiting the arrival of my oldest son, Bill  ( his blog on here is "IN Him I find Strength".    He will be here for the week and I am excited as I don't see much of him .   So if I don't get back on here the rest of this week ...I pray you all have a WONDERFUL   Thanksgiving ...tempered with 'self control'  ( at least a tiny bit ...LOL )    It is going to be hard ..but I have plans for a few treats for myself so I am not too tempted ...

Walking Poles

Today my hubby took me to Dicks and we bought walking poles!   I read about them in a magazine ..about how good they are for you.  They help firm your abs & stomach,   give your upper body a workout while walking   and reduce the stress on your knees, hips,  back and elbows.   I tried them out for a trial in the store and I can tell you ...you DO feel the pull in your stomach and I can tell that they DEFINITELY are going to help tighten up things!!

Today I am down 1 more lb.   YAY !   It seems so long in between now ....but I am hoping that this new walking technique will get things moving faster again.
