Day of Rest
Since Sandy & I are doing the 5K in the a.m. I decided to take today as rest day.
Breakfast: 1/2 Hardees omlette biscuit w/ 2 lg cups of coffee
Lunch: 1/3 helping of Fazoli's Penne w/ alfredo sauce--yuck! tried to carbo-load but it tasted ucky. Had two breadstix w/ an extra lg diet coke
Dinner: ceaser's salad w/ ff honey mustard dressing--couple bites of ucky penne leftover. Ended up throwing it all away b/c it wasn't at all appealing.
When Nate comes home this evening w/ a friend I am going to order them a pizza so maybe I will eat a piece of it.
Today was casual day at work. Wore the dark, denim jeans that I bought for last weekend's outing. The dang things are too big already! Maybe I can actually dry a pair of jeans for a change. I meant to have a friend take a pic b/c I looked pretty darn cute--hair, make-up, & all but I forgot!
Have a great weekend all. Hang on, we are going onward & downward!!!!

3/5 No weights, All cardio
Tonight must be THE night to hit the gym. It was practically empty. Fortunately, j*ck*ss sissy man wasn't there, unfortunately, psycho dude was.
I felt so sorry for this old man. He was working out on a machine directly in front of the psycho's elliptical. The old man turned his back in order to do the decent thing and clean his machine. The psycho dude starts taking his aggression out on the machine again. This poor old man jumped to the side--he thought he was going to be run over!
Met my 25 min goal on elliptical then jumped on re-bike for 13 min. Even kicked the tension up a notch. I thought working out w/o a magazine to look at was bad. Trying to workout without people to watch sucks too! (Haven't seen the bald guy for about a week)
If I'm not mistaken there is an IU/Purdue game tonight--that would account for a lot of the missing men.
Breakfast: 1 C coffee, sweetner, w/ creamer
Snack: cheddar rice cakes
Lunch: 3/4 C seafood salad from market deli & garlic bagel chips (I know they don't go together but I just had a hankering for both)
Snack: cheddar rice cakes
Pre-workout snack: PB sandwich
Dinner: Too tired to eat and not hungry for that matter

2/5 On way to workout goal
Tonight I headed straight to the gym right after work. Amazingly it was not packed as usual. Jumped on the elliptical immediately before the crowd arrived--did make sure to puff on inhaler on way to gym--zoom, zoom! Twenty-five minutes later, 2nd goal met!!
Upped calf raises to 125 @ 170#s, upped shoulder/arm pull machine thingees to 60 @ 50#s, arm pull down thingees to 60 @ 43#s, got on re-bike for a mile and a half.
Nate was with my trainer and her daughter at the library. It was about time for them to show up to the gym when my workout buddy showed up. She twisted my arm into going back into the gym until they got there. Got on the elliptical for an addl 6 min. Couldn't take it anymore, I was starving! I have got to start taking a snack with me.
Girls, that freak from last year is back--you might remember the "Mom up Sissy Man". Aack! He is so obnoxious. Now he is grunting so loud that people just stop to watch how stupid he is! What a freak! It could possibly be tolerable if he had a body builder physique; however, as we all recall from last year I was pumping more iron than him!
There is this other dude that really weirds me out. I swear he reminds you of the uni-bomber or something. He wears those old polyester short shorts from the seventies w/ tube socks that are probably from the seventies too.
He will turn up the treadmill full blast and run full out! He truly looks like he is trying to disguise himself. Anyway, tonight I am running on the elliptical, catching the groove again. All the sudden I thought the elliptical two down from me was malfunctioning and was going to explode. He lets out this weird growl thing and runs full out on it using the arm pulls. OMG, I thought the thing was going to go airborne. He acted like he was really ticked at the machine and was taking it out on it. Have to tell ya I was a little skeered!
Despite the Sissy Man & the Psycho I got a great workout!
Breakfast: 2 C coffee, w/ sweetner & creamer
Snack: A serving of cheddar quakes & a 1/2 C muselai
Lunch: 1/2 C canned Veggie soup w/ a hand full of sunflower seeds and 1 and a 1/2 string cheese
Dinner: green beans & corn w/ one serving Hamburger Helper
BTW Angela, I am only eating when physiologically hungry and eating to the point of being satisfied. Not overeating and definitely eating when my body tells me it is time. Shocking to think that my body can do that! Amazing what no sugar will do to a person!LOL Thanks for your concern and keeping me accountable.

Tues part II
Had a great workout at the gym. Started off w/ 5 mi on rebike w/ tension of 10. Bumped up calf raises from 100 to 125 @ 70#. I settled onto the elliptical w/ a fresh magazine ready to accomplish 25 min goal.
WRONG, I was just getting into the groove. I was hitting it hard--feeling really great. Then all the sudden I thought I was going to throw-up. I told myself it was b/c I hadn't had anything to eat before I went. Then my left arm started feeling weird--omg, am I having a heart attack? Good thing my friend is a nurse. Then I started feeling like I did last year as I exited the 500 track--I wasn't able to breathe! Ugh! Of all the times to forget my inhaler! Dammit! Dammit! DAmmit!
Even tho I only lasted 13 minutes on elliptical I felt like I got a great workout. Blood was pumping, posture was perfect, walked out of there with a 'tude. I love this feeling!
Weather is blustery, windy, frigid! Looking forward to a relaxing soak in a tub of hot water.

Peeing like a race horse!
Breakfast: lg watermelon slice
Lunch: a string cheese, 1/2 bunch broccoli in steamer bag, banana
Afternoon snack: hand full sunflower seeds
Dinner: Yet to be determined
4 bottles of bottled h2o, hence the title. I ended up going to the bathroom at work 5X between noon & 2:45! Just about the time I got back to my desk, put on my hand lotion, and started typing it was time to go again!
Better run, work out buddy just called to say we're are heading out into the blizzard-like conditions for a workout! Woohoo! I was afraid I was going to have to have another rest day.
Toodloos for now!

Bet you would really like to know the official WI number
Brandi, thanks for bringing this to my attention. I was so excited to see the line dip on the graph that I totally spaced the official WI figure.......drum roll please.....3.7lbs lost since 02.19.08.
Workout goal for this week is at least 5 days once again. Also, my goal is to stay on the elliptical at least 25 minutes. I am so ADD that I can't stay unoccupied for more than 15 minutes. I have literally looked at the pictures in all the magazines they have available. I need to get my buns out to get some new batteries for my mp3 player. I just never think about it --until I am hopping out of my car at the gym. Oh, sh*t! I forgot them again!
Just let the dog out this morning, it is "raining" at 33 degrees. WTH, I am so over this. We are supposed to get 53 temps on Saturday. Woohoo! There is a little 5k that my workout buddy wants to do. I am considering it.
It is all about the tee shirt that I can get. My logic is that I won't be getting a medal so I better darn well get a cool tee shirt. I'm thinking I did this race last year--they had crappy tee shirts. I am pretty sure that I will do it with her just to support her return to walking. Wait a sec, this is the "friend" who laughed her *ss off when the treadmill flung me off last week!LOL

Finally remembered to weigh
Since I can't completely disrobe at work for a weigh in I wore the "lightest" clothes I could find. I weighed myself in cotton (tshirt like material)pants, a cotton tee, & under skivvies.
I allowed a pound & 1/2 for clothes. My coworkers didn't seem to think that they weighed a full 2 lbs.
What a weight loss for TOM--this is sucha freak of nature. I sure hope the planets don't shift next week and cause me to show a gain instead.LOL
Tonite will have to be a rest night from gym b/c I have an appt. I'm thinking I will probably come home and do some of the stability ball instead. It was amazing how different my inner thighs looked last week after just one workout of just squeezing the stability between my knees (like the old Suzanne Sommers thingee--what was it called?)
Breakfast: coffee w/ sweetner & creamer
Lunch: 1/4 cup ham salad w/ grape cherry tomatoes and a hunk of watermelon.
Dinner: one serving of Zatarans w/ a scrambled egg added & green beans

The word is out, Tenacious had a night out
My phone started ringing off the wall yesterday b/c of my night out w/ S.
The funniest call I got last night was from my little neighbor girl Kimberly across the street. Some of you may remember her as the girl I workout with during the evening in the summer. We do squats and lunges down the sidewalks (after dark of course!).
She said that she was standing at her kitchen window doing dishes when she saw S pull up in front of the house. Then she watched him walk up on the porch and hug me. My dumb-dumb lab was so excited, he thought the company was for him, he got right between the two of us.
She called her boyfriend over to the window. I guess she was all excited and carrying on--he had to keep pulling her away from the window so we wouldn't see her.
Kim's bf lives out of town and hasn't been here the last weekend or two. She said that he asked if I had been losing weight!--a different guy noticed! What is funny is that since they have been dating we don't talk as much. Usually our talks are on my porch during the summer.
Kim & bf had gone to a movie the other day and arrived home just about the time S was due here. In fact, he arrived about 5 minutes after they walked in the house. I was scared to death she would come flying out on the porch hollaring, "Hey, who is that? Where did you meet him? Why didn't you call me?...."LOL

Fresh from the gym 5/5
Goal achieved! Worked out 5 days this week!
This morning was sheer will--I so didn't wanna go today. Last night I did partake of a few beverages, much more than I have had in years in any one outing. My head wasn't hurting, thank God, but I was very dehydrated.
S(old friend) and I went to dinner with a couple that I am good friends with. I chose a small dinner salad w/ the bruschetta appetizer as a meal. I only ate two of smallest pieces and let the others have the other two.
My drinks consisted of two Sam Adams light ale on draft and two margaritas(on the rocks w/ salt).
After dinner we went to a local pub--I was under the understanding that smoking was not allowed in establishments any longer. Apparently this place hadn't gotten the memo. We only stayed for one drink b/c of the smoke--in that short amout of time we stunk really bad. We dedicded to go back to the couples house to watch a movie.
He is exactly the same, just a few wrinkles here and there. Still the life of the party. We all had a lot of fun and laughs.
Breakfast: pb sandwich
Lunch: Can of bean soup w/ 3 rice cakes
Dinner: Ham & tomato mini pita sandwichs.
4 bottles of water so far.
Completely forgot to weigh in yesterday! Then I forgot again today! Dang it! Oh well, today probably wouldn't have been a good day with the indulgences last night.

Stardust You are a Machine!
I could barely get my buns up off th seat--maybe b/c it was wedged up to my esophagus. Ugh! How in the world could you ever adjust to that pain? Finally gave up and climbed on re-bike.
I am so exhausted. It was my 'last chance weigh-in' before tonight. We stopped after about an hour & half. Unfortunately I did not eat anything before we went. My head is pounding too.
Think I'm gonna catch a few winks before getting ready for this evening. Will write more soon.
