This is a pretty fun way to track your running mileage. I also like the nikeplus website where you can join different challenges. The thing I didn't like about this device is the accuracy. If you do any hill running at all--it gets totally skewed. I ran a 13.1 mile race and it logged 11.5 miles only. I also run several regular routes in my area and it always seems to log them less mileage than what I know they really are. It is still a fun device. If you're a totally psycho runner needing to know you're exact distance and time--this is not for you. If you like to have something to play around with and add a little challenge & fun to your workouts without anything too serious--this would be a perfect fit.

i got all the stuff 2 go along with this. shoe adapter, wrist band/song changer thing, arm band. and it works well but it was kinda a pain in the butt 2 set up. maybe im just not very techy.  it is pretty awesome tho once u get it all set up. good way 2 keep up with how long, how far and how fast u have been running tho.

It is a motivator for me. I walk way more than I did with a pedometer. I really like that in the middle of your walk/run it will verbally tell you how far you have gone. I works with the new 4th gen. ipod nano-chromatic also; which is what I have. Plus, you really don't have to buy the shoes. It can actually (with the right equipment) be attached to any brand of running shoe. Since I don't like the way nike shoes feel on my feet I use a pouch that attaches to the top of shoes.
